In financial year 2023, the share of profit before tax of Wilmar International Limited from feed and industrial products was 46 percent. Wilmar International Limited is one of the main agribusiness groups in Asia, as well as one of the largest listed firms by market capitalization on the Singapore exchange. 

World’s leading palm oil company

Wilmar International Limited started as a small holding company established in 1991, with only five employees. Its focus was oil palm cultivation in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Nowadays, Wilmar also incorporates various production activities, from cultivating to distributing its products, ranging from tropical oils, oilseeds and grains to sugar, to its consumers. Tropical oils, Wilmar’s main business segment, has been showing an upward sales volume trend for five consecutive years. Accompanying this milestone, Wilmar was also named as the largest palm oil producing company by market capitalization.

Oilseeds and grains segment

The second largest contributor that makes up Wilmar’s total gross profit value is the oilseeds and grains segment. This segment involves the manufacturing and marketing of non-palm and lauric edible oils, oilseeds, flour, rice and other related products. This segment is concentrated in China, where the majority of its plants are located.
